This puck broke on to the roller hockey scene in the winter of 2000. It started as a lone prototype during the Rollerblade craze of the mid 1990's.		Over the years we've had our fair share of ice hockey players, who are among our dedicated ProPuck users, call and ask us if we could make a heavier version of our roller hockey puck. We decided to oblige them.
The sport of 'Inline Hockey' (or roller hockey on inline skates) had gone mainstream with ESPN's summer broadcasts of the old RHI (Roller Hockey International). The puck they used was the original 'Speed Puck' whose design was specifically intended for play on Sport Court.		The IceGuy is made from the same durable materials as the ProPuck, but with added weight to most replicate the feel of an ice puck whether it's on the end of the stick for puck handling, or being wristshot into the back of a net....(Continue)

We did most of our outdoor playing on painted concrete / asphalt rinks, blacktop, and tennis courts. We played indoors on polished concrete, roll-on / epoxy coated cement, and melted ice rinks.

It was on these surfaces where it was obvious that there was a need for another type of hockey puck....(Continue)
